The Rascal Luxe has a state-of-the-art lithium ferro phosphate battery. It is considered to be the safest, greenest and most efficient battery available today. Rascal is giving a lifetime warranty on the battery to the person buying the scooter. This is the case whether the scooter has the 12.4ahp battery (13 mile range) or the 27ahp battery (27.5 mile range).  Note: Only the 12.4ahp battery option can be used when travelling by plane.
